About Neighbors

Neighbors Church aspires to create a world that emulates the safe and loving space where all people experience the full love and grace of Jesus.

This is the heart of what our church is about. We believe every single person in the world is to be loved, honored and celebrated. Everyone deserves respect, kindness and grace.

Since the early days of the church, sharing in the love of God with a community has been a sacred practice. We believe that the best way to ensure the tradition of worshipping together continues is by working to make every person from every background feel welcome and loved for exactly who they are. This is the founding principle of Neighbors Church, and it was inspired in part by someone you might not expect.

Our Core Values

Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Inclusion

Romans 15:7 “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

Transparency

Ephesians 4:25 “Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.”

Accessibility

Luke 14:12-14 “Then Jesus said to his host, ‘When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.’”

Purposefulness

Proverbs 20:5 “The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”

Genuineness

John 8:31-32 “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”
